I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
