In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.

The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
